Friday, November 23, 2007. Giant Chevrolet Raceway, Visalia, CA.
Day 1 of a 2-day wingless event brought 36 of the West's best 600 Sprint drivers including Sprint Car Driver Peter Murphy. Also competing was NHRA star Gary Scelzi. Kenny qualified his PMP chassis 21st, as a loose racecar was hard to hold on to. The track was packed tight all the way to the wall with no cushion. Heat races resulted in Kenny racing the 1st of 2 semi-mains as Kenny finished 5fh in the heat, just missing the transfer to the main finishing 4th behind Peter Murphy in the semi. It was fun to have friend and sprint car driver Kyle Larson present the check out the action.

Qualifying on day 2 went the same as Kenny paced the 7K PMP 20th of 40 qualifiers. Just missing the 4th spot in heat race 4 and finishing 5th pushed us into semi-main #2 giving Kenny a front row start. A good run and a 3rd place finish gave us the final starting spot of 22 cars in tonight's feature "A. A race track that was better prepared defiantly helped as Kenny avoided multiple slips and wrecks finishing 8th just behind Power I racer and friend Tyler Reddick. Kenny actually started 22nd, passed 7 cars and avoided all the wrecks to finish 8th under a red flag. The fence on turn 1 was torn off!

A special thanks to all the people at Plaza Park for helping us on our 1st year. Bubby and all the crew, you have been great!! Thanks to the Jared family for the hospitality and friendship. Especially Rodney for helping me with my racecar. I would also like to thank Stan and Brian at PMP Chassis, without their help I would be lost.

November 2, 3, 4 2007
Delta Speedway's 7th Annual Turkey Bowl brought a good turnout in all classes for 3 days of racing the small "Delta Bowl" Kenny's 7K Wingless entry brought some great racing and some other mishaps that just did not factor to a great show on Sunday.

Friday evening's track was good as the uppermost part was being used up. 2 heats inverted is the program. Heat 1 starting in the rear and finishing rear. Heat 2 starting pole finishing 2nd. Lining the A main in the rear of a soon-to-be crash fest! Kenny avoided most of the melée until the outside charger #21 jumped a tire and went airborne into the fence and landed on top of Kenny's car! Red Flag time allowed us to repair and regroup.

Kenny finished this race 8th. Last car running! Axle bent and lots of bent junk! Saturday evening's events proved much better as Kenny came from the rear of heat 1 to finish 2nd and winning Heat #2 putting Kenny on the 2nd row for Saturday's feature of 18 cars. One of the only cars running the top in perfect form, Kenny finished 7th. Great job Kenny!

Sunday afternoon's events ended at Heat 1 after getting taken out and flipped in turn 2. Too much damage occurred to repair that evening, however, Kenny was fine and will be back for Visalia's Turkey Day Race!

October 15, 2007 -
It has been a busy week for the 7k Racing Team, as Kenny spent a day with Cory Kruseman in Ventura, CA getting some time in a dirt midgit. After riding most of the Roller Coasters at Magic Mountain on Monday, Racing took the major focus the rest of the week. Just working the line with a very loose racecar was the training needed. After 150 laps, Cory felt comfortable knowing Kenny has been getting the most from the car. Thanks Cory!! This was super fun!

October 19, 2007 - KENNY ALLEN GETS CHOSEN TO TEST FOR RON SUTTON DRIVER DEVELOPMENT TEAM!!

Ron Sutton Driver Challenge brought 645 applicants this year. Talented drivers ages 12 to 21 sent in resumes from across the country. 28 were picked to actually test. 4 Ford Focus Midgets were supplied with top-notch crew chiefs and teams of equal tenure. Dirvers ran 5 sessions of 20 laps. As drivers came from different venues of racing from Karts to Late Models, Asphalt and dirt. All drivers were impressive.

After running for 2 sessions, Kenny started feeling very comfortable in the car. Being guided by Midget Star Benny Moon, Kennny picked it up and was just 1 tenth off Benny's earlier performance. Quite Impressive! Kenny jumped out of the car after testing and was very excited and just had a Blast!! Thanks Ron Sutton for putting on a great event and especially Kim Sutton for the brownies and cookies. A special thanks to my crew: Benny, Jeff, and Kevin Harding for your hard work and nice comments.

The Final Points race at Giant Chevrolet's Plaza Park brought 24 cars to see who could capture the final points Championship. Qualifying went poorly for the 7K Team as we have not yet repaired our engine and were forced to run a stock engine.  We ended up with qualifying 20th. We knew that starting last in the Heat race would be a challenge. As we were moving up to a transfer position, a spinning car in turn 3 and 4 coming down from the top just could not be avoided. Kenny crashed hard taking us out of the heat. After a quick frontend repair, with help from Toby Baker (4T Jr. Sprint), we were able to start the "B" main. After a shortened race, Kenny finished 2nd. with a transfer.

The "A" feature finished very abruptly as we were crashed in turn 1, and the night ended for the 7K. Congratulations on the win T.J. Smith #14 AND the Season Championship!!

It has been a fun season racing with the best racers on the West Coast. Thank you Bubby and his excellent group of people, for giving us the opportunity to race. We have learned alot and have met many new friends. We look forward to next season

September 14, 2007
The long haul got even longer as the 7K team suffered engine failure in Qualifying laps leaving us out of the event for the evening. However, watching the races gave us an opportunity to gain some "outside" schooling. Great job Richard Vanderweerd on the win!

Saturday, September 1st. Visalia, CA. Kenny Allen Qualifies 1st! Runs 2nd in Heat and a Pole Start!!
After only 13 starts in a sprint, the 7K team has somehow found the magic. With all the support from fellow racers and Stan Yockey of PMP Chassis, the Kid is just coming around.

Just weeks ago, we were struggling to make features, now we are struggling to run up front! Making this one of the most fun of all seasons we have raced.  A huge thanks to all our sponsors including J.W.Webs; LRT Graphics who makes us look good, and Gordon Seros who makes us fast!

Dad is also learning, as the car setup for the feature was way off. The track dried and the car was too loose. Kenny could not run down when he needed to. as the 17 car of Sanders just ran away. Good job Jason!

Sunday, September 2nd. Visalia, CA.
Day #2 for the Summer Clash Race brought out 24 cars. Kenny qualified the Chico Truck & RV sponsored PMP again with a strong 5th position. Heat Race finished with Kenny in 4th and a transfer to the feature! After an inversion was placed, it put the 7K on Row 1 outside 00 Cory Elliason.

We could not believe it. 2 nights in a row on the front row!! WOW! In the last 3 races at Plaza Park, Kenny has qualifiied 3rd,  1st,  & 5th. All with the 2nd lap being the exact same time as the first!! Talk about being consistent! More races and working traffic are needed to give us the edge to win. For now, just having the feeling we are doing something right is great. Kenny ran hard with green flag racing for 25 laps finishing 11th. Congrats to Cory Elliason on the win!

August 17, 2007 Giant Chevrolet Plaza Park Raceway, Visalia, California
Stray cats running wild was the scene here at Giant Chevrolet's Plaza Park Friday night, August 17, as a litter of kittens were making friends. Fellow racer T.J. Smith helped us pick a new kitty (appropiately named T.J.) As far as the racing goes, Kenny Allen picked up a little stray cat strut of his own powering the PMP 7K to the 3rd qualifying spot on a track that has never been so perfectly prepared by the Plaza crew. Great Job!! Heat races went well, as 7K finished 3rd behind untouvchable 00 Cory Ellision and & Steven Kent.

A main board posted with us positioned in the 2rd row! A good start and running 4th. Green flag racing with hard chargin Jason Rodgers moving his way to the front prompted a loose car in turn 3 & 4 as Kenny had no where to go, nad jhust knocked the right front enough to lose the bead finishing our nite bringing Jason the win. Good job 1J! and T.J. Smith finishing 2nd. Happy birthday T.J.!! Special thanks to Rodney Jared who helped get my car ready to race Sacramento on Saturday night.

August 18, 2007 - Sacramento, CA
Saturday August 18th brought out 18 of the Northstate's finest multi 600's to compete on the fast 1/4 mile at Sacramento. Heat race #1 saw Kenny on the pole. Leading all laps except the last one with a spin on turn 4 only passing 1 car on the green white checker restart. Heat #2 inverted brought the 7K a rear start. Again passing only 1 car. Passing is tough as a single groove around the bottom is the only way around. Moving up can cost valuable positionns. The feature found Kenny starting toward the rear. After a long green flag, Kenny was comfortable running 9th. A late slip in 1 & 2 found Kenny shifting and finishing 10th. Congrats to #17 Sanders on the win.

August 11, 2007 Giant Chevrolet Plaza Park Raceway, Visalia, California
Race #10 brought 24 cars to Giant Chevrolet's Plaza Park this week. Qualifying did not go as planned for the 7k team as Kenny just could not keep the car from jumping the cushion on 1 & 2. Giving us a 17th spot and a rear heat race start.

Kenny definately found the groove in the heat race passing onthe top with just inches from the wall to get a third place finish and another A-Main transfer.

A-Main line up withe Kenny starting row 9. A good srart and running high, Kenny got the car loose and spun, thankful no one hit us. After srarting in the back on the restart, Kenny proceeded to make up ground and passing 3 cars on the white flag lap to finish 11th with Cory Ballard driving the PMP House car finishing 1st. Congrats Cory.

August 3, 2007 Giant Chevrolet Plaza Park Raceway, Visalia, California
After a month-long break from racing, heat was the biggest thing to beat on Friday, August 3rd at Giant Chevrolet in Visalia, CA.

With all the safety gear on, and temperatures well over 100 degrees, its really hard on the drivers. Qualifying 29 cars tonight, 7K timed in both laps a consecutive 11.21 putting us 14th. A pole start in heat race #3 would be helpful as competition is tough. Racing tonight from Pennsylvania is Hyper Chassis Mfg, Mike Dicely. A third place finish resulting in a transfer to tonight's Feature "A".

Heat really taking its toll on Kenny tonight, we did not think he was going to make the race "A quick cool down and lots of fluids, and an ice cold towel from fellow driver #78 Rodney Jared got me back into the car

The Feature line up row 7 inside got fouled with a big crash at the flagstand. Kenny made it through but spun 360's down the front straight, stalling it at the end. "WOW! I didn't even hit nothin'!" Having to restart now in row 9 would be even harder to get up front. A long green finished this one. Kenny finishing 14th. Congrats to #88 Vanderweerd on the win!

July 27, 2007
:
With the month of July quiet at Plaza Park, it has given Kenny and his family a chance to vacation (riding quads in the Oregon Dunes) Also to get to various Sprint Car Tracks to see some awesome racing. Getting the chance to see former Outlaw Kart drivers and friends Mason Moore; Kyle Larson; Josh Keheley; and Alyssa Geving all in their Rookie Year: driving 360 and 410 Sprints!! Good luck to all! We look forward to getting back into the action Friday, August 3rd in Visalia. Come check us out!

June 29th & 30th, Giant Chevrolet Plaza Park Raceway, Visalia, California
Budweiser Nationals. 39 cars present in the Super 600's. Bringing on Gordon Seros Power to the 7K team was long awaited. Having run stock engines up to now. Competing with quick revving "multi" engines was tough. Getting adjusted to the extra power coming off the turns was needed and done as Kenny qualified the 7K in the 12th position on his 1st lap in qualifying. A pole start in Heat #3 proved perfect as Kenny won Heat Race #3. Just losing the race into turn one with #10 on the outside Kenny put on a perfect slide to regain the lead onto the backstretch and did not look back. After 2 semi-main events, the line up was posted with 7k on Row 6 in the Feature A. 50 Laps!

With a bottled-up start in 1 & 2, Kenny got shuffled rearward, and ran the 7K hard 49 laps without error until the rear end broke loose and got Kenny sideways into turn 3 and 4. Upon inspection, Jacob's ladder straps broke from slamming huge cushion in turn 1 and 2 for 49 laps! Kenny drove it till it broke. Good job Kenny!

A schedule break in July at Plaza Park will allow Kenny to compete locally at Cycleland Speedway in Outlaw Karts.

June 15, 2007 - Visalia, CA
Friday brought points race #7 to Giant Chevrolet Raceway at Plaza Park, Visalia Ca. Qualifying order put Kenny 15th out Kenny ran a best lap of 2 at 11.19 to put him 19th of 35 cars showing. A six finish in heat 3 put Kenny in the 1st of 2 semi mains. The high revving powers of these 600ci engines require a shift on the start of the race. Kenny had a problem on the start with the shift linkage binding causing him to start last as the pack quickly moved around. However quickly regaining his composure Kenny moved up to the high grove and started passing cars on the top and running to the bottom when needed to get another spot. A flag stand finish just shy of 3rd needed for a transfer. Finishing a impressive 4th. Just one short of a transfer to tonight’s feature.

Learning a lot tonight will help for tomorrows race The Gary Scelzi “ALL STAR CHALLENGE”. Thanks to Janet Larson ( http://www.kylelarsonracing.com ) for going out of her way to meet us on the way to Visalia. Getting us decals for our car. They look great!

June 16, 2007 - Visalia, CA - Click Here for New Photos !
John Force Signs Kenny's helmetSaturday June 16th attracted just about every drag racing fan in central California along with about as many open wheel sprint fans in the area. As Giant Chevrolet's Plaza Park Raceway hosted the Gary Scelzi All Star Challenge. A race with NHRA Super stars Gary Scelzi, Ron Caps, JR Todd, Cory Mac, Del Worsham and Morgan Lucas taking the wheel of super 600s. With added stars Brandon Bernstein and superstar John Force himself helping with flag duties.

Young and old had a lot of fun in this small town atmosphere. The officials opened up a more than super cool autograph session that lasted over an hour!!. And the guys just carried pens all day long. Everyone just had a blast. I had the most fun!!

Racing went well also as the 7k qualified 13th of 39 cars showing. A good start from the pole and driving it hard around the top gave Kenny the win in heat #1. Just what we needed here at Plaza! A 6th row start spot in the main!!! After avoiding flipping cars and cars piling up in about every fashion Kenny finished the Chico Truck and R.V. 7k in a strong 6th spot. The All Star Challenge race was unbelievable! These guys are not afraid of going fast that’s for sure! They can actually drive the crap out of em! Jr Todd was the victor. But the challenge has been made to again race at a later date!! Keep checking my web…I want to say It was an unforgettable weekend that’s for sure!

June 1, 2007 - Visalia, CA
After taking a week off, we were ready to get back to the track in Visalia. My Goodness, I wonder what the talk is during the week, because the grandstands are full on Friday night at Giant Chevrolet's Plaza Park! Bubby puts on a great show, and the track was the best it's ever been!

Qualifying went well. Kenny put the 7K into the 10's and qualified 10th. Awesome!! With 28 cars present, this positioned us outside row 1 in heat 3. A hard run and a 4th place finish transfers Kenny to the Feature "A". Kenny was very relieved to finally make the transfer, as were some fans, and fellow racers. The "A" Feature start put Kenny row 5 outside. The main events run 30 laps. 15 more than Kenny has been used to previously running the "B" main. "I got tired about lap 25." said Kenny. "It was Fun!" Kenny finished 14th.

June 2, 2007 - Sacramento, CA
An early arrivial at Sacramento Raceway was a good choice, as the drag cars were on the dragstrip just next to the dirt track. We watched some cool passes as the track was prepped for Saturday night's Mulit-600's.

This is the first visit for the 7K Racing Team to Sacramento. Pit in the infield? OK... Upon Check-in, Darrell Lewis (Track Official) noted Kenny as a Rookie and required him to start in the rear for the evening as we happily agreed!

After 2 heat races, passing 1 car in the 2nd heat, Kenny started to feel comfortable in the car on this big track with 18 cars present. Only a "A" Main feature was needed to see who could win tonight. Thanks to Rick Bernal Team 87 for getting us on the right track tonight. Dad's a Rookie like me! "They don't have a tire rule here Dad" I think we finished somewhere around 14th. It was fast. Just a single groove around the bottom is all and hard to pass. Good race up front 777 and 87 Bernal. Congratulations to friend and former Outlaw Kart racer Max Adams 5x on his 1st win in Restricted 600's. More cars are needed here to make this class happen. You must get here. These guys are fast and good!

Saturday, May 12, Stockton, CA.
With family members from the Bay Area present to see Kenny run wingless 600 sprints for the first time, the time could have not been better. Heat race #1 was successful, as Kenny got out in front, and held off Visalia points leader Wes Gutierrez. Heat race #2 put Kenny in the back row for the start. After 2 laps, Kenny made his move and put the 7K into a 3rd place finish. Row 2 starting position for the Feature will be good. After moving up to 2nd during therace, and driving the wheels off the car, a caution came out. With a bad carburator stutter on the restart, Kenny lost 2 places and finshed in 4th. Congratulations to #7, Rick Cook II on a super win, having to start form the back. Great job!

Friday, May 11, Visalia, CA
This was the place to be Friday night as 32 cars showed again for the best of the best. As some have been sore about tires and a rather dry single groove track, officials made sure of a good racing surface. The track was perfect with a lower groove and an upper groove to race on. A late qualifying effort put Kenny in 21st, with a 3rd row start in heat 1. After finishing 6th in the heat put him 3rd row outside in the "B" feature.

There were many fast cars in the B main as some did not make the transfer from heats including NHRA star Gary Scelzi. Racing Gary would be totally cool!! A 9th place finish would be the end for us tonight, however, every week we seem to get better. Running these winged sprints is definately a learning curve for us, and it is exciting and challenging. Thanks Bubby for a great track Friday night! Congrats to 1J Rodgers for yet another win!

Friday, May 4, 2007:
A huge crowd was present to see point race #3 at Giant Chevrolet Raceway, Visalia, California. 30 cars present and high winds dried the track quickly and a high pill draw put us last to qualify. A 7th finish in heat 1 put us deep in the B-main. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series star Matt Crafton, having a week off from his tight schedule showed up with his car to get in a little dirt track racing. With a rough heat race, he also had to race to make the feature just 2 rows ahead. Racing with him would be fun. Hate to say it, but we got beat by a truck driver as Matt was the last to transfer. We will try again next week. Meeting Matt was really cool. Congratulations to the 1J - Rodgers for the win!

Saturday, May 5, 2007:
Wingless Feature night at Delta Speedway in Stockton, California brought 18 fast 600 wingless cars. A pill draw and 2 heat races is the order. After finishing 4th in both heats, a 7th row start would be tough as the winds dried the track to a single groove. Kenny ran tough and avoided cautions. Finding himself running 5th, then getting called for jumping the start on a restart putting him 2 cars back on the next restart. Keeping the pressure on, Kenny passed late in the race for a 6th finish. Congratulations to another ex-outlaw kart racer, Justin Cox for winning the restricted A-main.

Tickets go on sale May 15 for a sure sold out show on June 16 NHRA Star Gary
Scelzi and Friends such as Ron Capps, and John and Ashley Force will be
racing. A must see! Get tickets quick!

April 27-28, 2007  Stockton California.
With Giant Chevrolet Raceway dark for the weekend, the 7k team loaded and traveled to Delta Speedway in Stockton California. A make-up race Friday night and Saturday night is just what we needed to get more seat time. However, with the track rule of 14 years-old to run the Multi class, Kenny would have to remove the wings and learn to run wingless. This would prove interesting as we are learning to set-up with wings. Thanks Brian Lugo at PMP chassis for the help. Kenny quickly adapted and started to change the way the car went into the turns. With a 4th place finish in the main, we were excited to learn more Saturday night.

Saturday night brought a tougher string of drivers to Delta Speedway. With basically the same set-up, we ran again learning a tremendous amount in both driving and set-up on the car. Racing a single grove, a late pass with one lap to go finished 7th for the 7k. A good show for us. We look forward to another wingless show next Saturday night at Stockton.

April 21, 2007
With the possibility of rain in the forecast, and most of the tracks cancelling races for the weekend, the show was on in Visalia California. 33 cars showed up in the Super 600 class, giving 4 solid heat races. Qualifying was tough for the 7K team this week as Kenny fought a loose car.  A 6th place finish in Heat #3 gave a 4th row start for the B-main. "Keeping the car straight was half the battle as the 12x got loose and hit the wall just in front of us."  A 10th finish will result. Not Bad!!

This Super 600 class is a great new challenge and a lot of fun. Spring schedules are tough right now with the last week off and next week off.  Seat time is a valuable asset we just desperately need. Getting to a weekly, and possibility of Saturday night shows will help alot.  Special thanks again to Stan Yockey of PMP Chassis for the help.

Special Note: It was super cool to meet Gary Scelzi, NHRA Funny Car Star and Champion. He has announced his Semi-retirement from NHRA after this season. So be sure to go to the track to see him and the Matco Tools Funny Car. Tell him 7K sent ya!!

April 6, 2007
Race #1 at Giant Chevrolet Raceway at Plaza Park in Visalia California. Grandstands Full. Pits Full, with over 80 cars competing in 3 classes. The Junior Sprints, 3/4 Restricted Sprints, and Super 600's.

Qualifying in the the Super 600's would prove tough as the groove had worked its way up in a hurry. Kenny ran 11.72 to qualify 14th out of 31 cars. Not bad considering this is actually the first time Kenny has qualified on a racetrack by himself. (Usually in Outlaw Karts, 4 karts are on the track at the same time). So there was no way to pace himself. However, he adapted well.

In the Heat race, we were placed in the rear, car #8 position, as Kenny is proving his Rookie status. Lap 1, turn 1, Kenny was forced high and scraped the wall, however, kept it going to pass 1 car in the heat race.

With 15 cars in the B-Main event, and 6 transfers and a rear starting position, this first race looks tough. Kenny ran well and sucessfully passed cars, however missed the transfer by 2 cars finishing 8th.

We learned a lot about the track and the car this week. Special thanks to Stan Yockey for the help in the pits and getting us on the right track. You are much appreciated. Another Huge Thanks to Rodney Jared #78, for helping us and the great support!

Not only does Plaza Park have the Best Racers on the West Coast, they have the best people! Way to go Bubby!!

March 31, 2007:
Returning to Visalia California to test in front of all Officials and get approval to run with the Super 600 Sprints would prove to be yet another challenge. Kenny had no problems adapting and ran very quick when the track was wet. 80-degree temperatures dried out the track rapidly, however, and we adjusted the car to perfection. Kenny went back out on a dry-slick setup, and proved himself without a doubt. Running superfast around the bottom lap after lap. After testing and meeting with Officials and others, Kenny was given the "OK, You're in." "YEA, this is gonna be fun" Kenny says.

We will clean it up and get ready for the season opener in Visala at Park Plaza. Thanks to Park Plaza Officials for spending the time to watch Kenny.

Also special note: #11 Tyler Reddick also made the series with his talent and awesome car. We can't wait to see him upfront! Thanks Clarence for your help.

March 24 & 25, 2007:
After successful testing at Delta Speedway in Stockton, California, then traveling to Visalia California, Kenny Allen got comfortable with nis new PMP Mini Sprint. Running with the best in Visalia would be a challenge. Kenny quickly adapted and ran very fast laps, and started to feel the track.
